Votaniki Schubertii Allium Bulbs - Spectacular Blooms, Allium Schubertii (Ornamental Onion) | Spring Blooming Perennial - Easy to Grow (12 Pack)

"Allium Schubertii is admired for its truly unique and striking display of loose, star-shaped, reddish-purple flowers that bloom in giant, spherical umbels measuring 9–12 inches wide (22–30 cm) from late spring to early summer. Each bloom rises gracefully above clumps of strap-shaped, blue-green basal leaves that begin to wither just as the flowers open, allowing the dazzling floral spheres to take full attention. This spectacular bulbous perennial can even be forced indoors in colder regions, offering a burst of color when outdoor gardens are still quiet. After blooming, the seed heads dry beautifully and can either be left standing for ornamental interest or picked for creative dried flower arrangements. As the flower heads mature, the inflorescences naturally detach from the stem and roll across the garden, dispersing seeds in a fascinating and whimsical way that enhances naturalization. Allium Schubertii is perennial and thrives for many years under favorable conditions, returning each season with renewed vigor. Its long-lasting blooms are loved not only for their visual impact but also for their ability to attract pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. These hardy bulbs are deer-resistant, drought-tolerant once established, and require very little maintenance—making them perfect for both experienced and beginner gardeners. Ideal for borders, mixed beds, and pollinator gardens, Allium Schubertii pairs beautifully with late-spring favorites such as irises, peonies, and ornamental grasses. Their bold, architectural form and dazzling floral display make them a true conversation piece in any garden setting. Plant Allium Schubertii bulbs in the fall, spacing them 6–8 inches apart, to enjoy a dramatic and unforgettable show the following spring. With minimal care, these spectacular blooms will return year after year, bringing unique beauty and charm to your garden."
