Because calling it a “box cut tee” would have been so difficult, and so much less descriptive. Traditional tee shirt styling in a boxy cut that, unlike the man’s tee (where they got the idea for a straight cut tee) this has room for your boobs, and doesn’t cling. Which is what a woman’s cut tee does. It clings. If that’s what you’re going for, cling away. This shirt doesn’t cling. It is also cut to a woman’s length, with shorter sleeves than a man’s tee to accommodate the shorter shoulder to elbow length. A great shirt for women who work, work out, or just want something to hang out in that doesn’t cling. Ignore the name.
