The Sergeant: A Biological Missile

A fictionalized US Army pamphlet representing how the United States would have conducted biological operations circa-1968 with the M210 Biological Warhead for the MGM-29 Sergeant Missile. Before the United States unilaterally renounced the use of biological weapons in 1969, it had an active offensive program that had developed over two-hundred weapon concepts. Of these, only a few reached the point of acceptance by the military establishment. The M210 was formally accepted as a Standard A item for use by the Army on the tactical nuclear battlefield. Stylized as a comic book, The Sergeant illustrates key concepts and provides a framework for approximating biological weapon effects that may be extended to war gaming or hypothetical threat assessments.
