  • Supplying Demand replacement parts are compatible with Major Brands, but you should always verify fitment with your specific model
  • 12‑inch long key (metal rod) used to actuate a gas log lighter valve (i.e. the valve that supplies gas to a log lighter bar in your fireplace or fire pit)
  • The key is polished brass plated, meaning it has a brass (or brass‑look) surface — cosmetically nicer or better matched in aesthetic to brass fixtures
  • Insert the key onto/into the log lighter valve stem and turn it to open (allow gas flow) or to close (shut off gas)
  • Open the gas via the key, the gas flows into the log lighter bar (or burner tube), then you light the gas (e.g. with a match or lighter) which in turn helps ignite the wood logs
  • Once the logs are burning well, you turn the key back to the “off” position to stop gas flow so the log lighter is not burning continuously
