Silver Tip Tetra, also known as Hasemania nana, is a small freshwater fish native to South America. It is a popular choice among aquarium hobbyists due to its beautiful silver coloring and peaceful nature.
Silver Tip Tetras are generally small, growing to a maximum length of around 1.5 inches. They are best kept in groups of six or more and require a well-planted aquarium with plenty of room to swim. They are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp.
One interesting fact about Silver Tip Tetras is that they are egg-scatterers, meaning they lay their eggs over plants or other objects in the aquarium. The eggs will hatch within a few days, and the fry can be fed newly hatched brine shrimp or other small foods.
Overall, Silver Tip Tetras are a great addition to any community aquarium and are easy to care for. With proper care, they can live for up to five years.
