Daiwa's latest Saltiga spinners, now available in larger sizes, showcase a significant redesign from previous generations. They've swapped the 'Zaion' composite body and rotor for robust aluminum construction, adding a bit of weight but maintaining exceptional feel. The switch to aluminum eliminates rotor flex issues under high drag and boosts drag capacity in smaller sizes. The new aluminum drag adjustment knob prevents expansion and maintains consistent drag pressure. The MONOCOQUE frame design reduces weight and accommodates larger gears, delivering increased power. The spool's redesigned rim enhances casting distance and reduces line friction. An upgraded clicker ensures clear notification when a fish pulls drag. Overall, these reels offer substantial improvements in durability, reliability, and water resistance, ensuring smooth performance for years.
