NIBCO Fig No C4806-2, 3 in. PVC DWV 45 Degree Street Elbow Spigot x Hub

The NIBCO 4806-2 45-degree elbow pipe fitting is made of PVC for drain, waste, and vent systems (DWV) and has a spigot connection and a hub connection. This 45-degree elbow fitting, or "ell," connects two pipes at a 45-degree angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. It has a male spigot connection on one end for fitting into a female unthreaded pipe and a female hub end on the other for sliding over a male unthreaded pipe. The hub end connects to pipes with a smooth bore for enhanced flow, and the spigot end has the same diameter as the pipe it connects to, minimizing turbulence and creating a tight seal. This fitting is made of PVC for use in non-pressure residential and commercial drain, waste, and vent (DWV) sanitary systems. PVC resists corrosion and chemicals, exhibits high strength, and weighs less than fittings made from metal. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. This fitting provides superior flow to metal because of its smooth interior finish, which reduces friction and inhibits buildup of materials. This fitting meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D2665 and D3311 specifications for quality assurance.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. When purchasing pipe fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).NIBCO manufactures flow-control products for construction, industrial, fire protection, and irrigation applications. The company, founded in 1904, is headquartered in Elkhart, IN, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standards for quality assurance.

• 45-degree elbow for connecting two pipes at an angle
• Spigot on one end and hub opening on the other for connecting two pipes with different ends
• PVC-DWV for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal
• Smooth interior finish for reduced friction and material buildup
• Meets specifications ASTM D2665 and D3311 for quality assurance
