Merlin ACSR TP Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced Twisted Pair by Nassau National Cable

ACSR/TP is favored by utilities in wind-prone areas due to its ability to combat issues like aeolian vibration and galloping. Its twisted design with varying diameters and figure 8 shape reduces wind-induced resonance and motion. ACSR/TP allows for higher line tensions, lowering costs through reduced sag and longer spans. It also has lower ac resistance, operating at cooler temperatures. Its compact design optimizes right-of-way costs, and it's compatible with conventional ACSR tools.

• Preferred for utilities in wind-prone regions: ACSR/TP mitigates vibration and galloping issues
• Higher line tensions: ACSR/TP reduces line costs through lower sag and longer spans
• Lower operating temperatures: ACSR/TP's lower ac resistance outperforms single conventional conductors
• Tool compatibility: Conventional ACSR tools can be used for ACSR/TP products
• ACSR/TP composition: Two ACSR conductors with long lay lengths, twisted together
• ASTM specifications: B230, B232, B498, B500, B606, B802, B803, B911
