This charming stoneware figurine is the "North" (Nord) child from the iconic "Children of the World" (All Världens Barn) series, designed by the celebrated Swedish ceramicist Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg.
Created in 1974 to benefit UNICEF, this Inuit girl figurine features the artist's signature rustic, chamotte stoneware texture and hand-painted details. She is depicted in a cozy hooded parka, holding a small vessel, with a serene and warm expression.
