Fundido - Get A Grip - Music & Performance - Vinyl

Look, there are a lot of DJ duos in Brooklyn. Mostof them are fine. Fundido are the kind who'vebeen doing the good work for 10 years. Whatstarted as euphoric, after-band free-for-alls inthe front room at Baby's All Right now takesplace in increasingly bigger rooms, further afield, regulars and new faces side by side. It's a musiclover's paradise and a responsible adult's worstnightmare. After curating beloved annual edits comps foryears, Latane Hughes and Billy Scher are nowmaking their own music with the help of producerMiles Felix. "Get A Grip" felt almost purpose-builtfor DFA: four-on-the-floor drums, a synth thatmaws away your inhibitions, a vocal from EmmaDufaux that closes the deal. It's really good. The 12" gives you four ways to hear it: the OriginalMix, a Bliss Mix (less maw), and remixes fromrising stars Make A Dance and Asa Tate. These guys spent a decade learning what makespeople lose themselves and keep coming back. Now they're making the tracks to match.
