Fothergilla ‘Mount Airy’ – Bottlebrush
A standout native shrub prized for its beauty across multiple seasons. In spring, dense white bottlebrush flowers cover the branches with a sweet, honey-like fragrance before the foliage fully emerges. Blooming in April to early May, the flowers provide an early nectar source for pollinators and create a striking display against the shrub’s blue-green leaves.
As the seasons change, ‘Mount Airy’ truly shines with exceptional fall color. Its foliage transforms into glowing shades of yellow, orange, and red, often displaying several colors at once. With a naturally rounded habit and easy-care nature, this versatile shrub works beautifully as a specimen plant, foundation planting, or grouped in masses for a dramatic seasonal display.
