Apple Valley Jasper, sourced from the same region as the renowned Apple Valley Agate in Morocco's Sahara Desert, is actually a fossil stromatolite. Stromatolites, formed by oceanic cyanobacteria trapped in sediment layers, are among the earliest known fossils and continue to form in certain global locations. Each layer of Apple Valley Jasper narrates a unique geological tale, with surrounding water and sediment mineral contents dictating its vibrant colors and patterns. Often showcasing brilliant reds and striking lines, it may also exhibit captivating hematite flowers, perfect for cabochons. Apple Valley Jasper boasts an excellent polish.
