Irish Stout Flash Brewing® Kit
Irish Stout is built for the same reason the best pub stouts endure: it’s approachable, balanced, and designed for another pint. Instead of leaning hard into heavy roast, this recipe focuses on a smooth, rounded malt profile with a gentle dark edge—think light cocoa, toasted grain, and a hint of coffee—then finishes clean and crisp.
Cascade Cryo Hops bring a restrained but noticeable hop character that plays surprisingly well with the dark malt profile. You’ll pick up subtle citrus and a touch of classic American hop flavor that keeps the beer lively and modern without pulling it out of stout territory. It’s a small twist that makes the beer especially fun for craft beer enthusiasts—familiar enough to feel classic, but different enough to keep you paying attention.
This is the kind of beer you crack when the day’s done: a weeknight pint, a game-day staple, something to bring to a backyard hang, or the darker option in the cooler that still drinks light on its feet. If you enjoy the smooth, approachable stout experience of Guinness Draught, Murphy’s, or Beamish, you’ll recognize the overall “easy pint” balance immediately—just with a brighter hop accent than you might expect.
Flash Brewing® Kits
MoreBeer!'s Flash Brewing® Kits are designed for both novice and seasoned homebrewers. These innovative recipe kits allow you to simply mix the ingredients with water and add yeast for fermentation. This streamlined process not only saves you valuable time but also simplifies brewing without sacrificing flavor. Say hello to a faster, easier way to craft exceptional beer at home.
Typically, brewing requires you to boil your malt and hops for one hour, followed by another hour for cooling. Flash Brewing® eliminates the need to boil. Our Flash Brewing® malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor.
Equipment Required for Flash Brewing®
Flash Brews can be fermented in any wide mouth 6 or 7-gallon fermenter you already own. We suggest a wide mouth fermenter so you can easily pour in the ingredients. The 7-gallon Fermonster fermenter is a perfect choice. If you are new to brewing and need a fermentation kit, See related product.
