Lighting: Echinodorus muricatus thrives in moderate to high lighting conditions. Adequate light is essential for its lush growth and to maintain the intricate leaf patterns. Utilize full-spectrum LED or fluorescent lights for 8-10 hours a day.

Water Parameters: Echinodorus muricatus prefers slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. Aim for a pH range of 6.0-7.5. The water temperature should be kept between 72-82°F (22-28°C). Regular water changes and a reliable filtration system are essential to maintain excellent water quality.

Substrate and Planting: Plant Echinodorus muricatus in a nutrient-rich substrate, such as aquarium soil or fine gravel. The plant has a robust root system, so ensure it is planted securely to avoid uprooting. Provide enough space between each plant to allow for proper growth and spread.

CO2 Supplementation: While not always necessary, providing carbon dioxide (CO2) supplementation can enhance the growth and coloration of Echinodorus muricatus. CO2 injection can be done using a CO2 system or through the use of liquid carbon supplements.

Water Flow: Moderate water flow is suitable for Echinodorus muricatus. Ensure sufficient water movement to distribute nutrients and oxygen, but avoid strong currents that may damage the delicate leaves.

Fertilization: Regularly fertilize Echinodorus muricatus to provide essential nutrients. Liquid fertilizers formulated for aquatic plants are suitable. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for dosing to avoid nutrient imbalances.

Maintenance: Echinodorus muricatus is a relatively low-maintenance plant. However, regularly remove any debris or algae from the leaves to maintain their appearance and health. Trim or prune the plant as needed to control its growth and maintain the desired shape.
