Stretch marks occur when the middle layer or dermis of the skin becomes overstretched to the point of tearing. This happens in pregnancy when our bellies grow. You may also find you develop stretch marks on your breasts, thighs, buttocks and hips. 

During pregnancy, up to 90% of women will experience stretch marks. It is a great habit to get into to pop our body oil onto prone areas and nourish and massage the skin. Our amazing oil also doubles up as an incredible face oil.

After a C-section, it is so important to massage your scar to help it heal. At first, the scar can be painful, and if you do not practice massage on it, the scar tissue can become a potential problem and cause further issues with your pelvic floor etc.

Lavender: increases the production of collagen and forms new connective tissue that encourages wound healing. Lavender oil may help in the healing of stretch marks

Frankincense: Frankincense enters the skin easily, and ferulic acids and vitamins in the oil bring antioxidant benefits to the skin, which helps keep it soft and healthy.

Lemon: Aids to lighten Stretch Marks

Ylang Ylang: Shown to be effective in treating acne, eczema, and other skin conditions. It is also effective in reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks. It soothes inflammation and irritation on the body while strengthening skin

Sweet Almond: The emollient properties help soothe and smooth lasting scar tissue, stretch marks, and more. Applying sweet almond oil to your bump will help moisturise as it grows.

Coconut: has anti-inflammatory properties and may help reduce healing time for existing stretch marks. Its ability to hydrate skin deeply may also help reduce the itching associated with stretch marks
