Blue Damson Plum Tree is a variety that produces large crops of dark purple fruits that have a yellow flesh with a tart flavor. They are a clingstone variety that whose fruits ripen from late August to early September. This is a self-pollinating variety, however it produce higher yields if more than 1 tree is planted nearby. This vareity requires at least 600 chill hours for maximum harvest and is hardy in USDA zones 5 to 7.
