Born in captivity in Letona, Pongo lived his early life in a zoo, a typical chimpanzee. But a fateful clash between heroes from the Dragon Trapper's Lodge and menacing monsters altered his course. The battle wrecked his habitat, trapping him under debris. Panicked, Pongo spotted a large, metallic object - a mystical sword, once wielded by a trapper. Upon grasping it, he felt a surge of consciousness and thought, unlike anything he'd experienced before. The blade, imbued with power, asked if he wished to retain this newfound intelligence, promising more strength if he accepted.
