2027 Stockli Orea AX Skis

High-end design meets all-mountain capability in the Stockli Orea AX, a playful multiturn ski for skiers who want versatility with a premium finish. At its core it's an all-mountain ski with Titanal cut into the tip and tail for balanced, smooth-riding behavior across varied terrain. Surface depressions and an integrated badge set it apart visually, making it as much a statement piece as a do-it-all mountain ski.

Why we like it:

The Orea AX nails the balance between looks and substance. Tip and Tail Flex technology keeps it smooth and composed across different terrain, while the integrated surface badge and depressions give it a genuinely exclusive design. The Racing Sidewalls add a bit of extra bite to back up the styling.

Who it's for:

Intermediate to advanced skiers who want a versatile all-mountain ski with refined, eye-catching styling. A good fit for skiers who move between groomers and softer snow and appreciate a ski that performs across the mountain while standing out at the lodge.

Highlights:

An all-mountain wood core built from light poplar and beech gives the Orea AX its quick, playful character. Tip and Tail Flex technology is central to the ride, relaxing the flex at the shovel and tail for the balance between smooth turn initiation and stability across varied terrain. An All Mountain Rocker profile and Tail Rocker make it easier to handle in fresh and broken-up snow, while Adaptive Contact Length varies the edge engaged with the snow depending on how hard you carve. Solid Metal Edge Light and Full Edge Contact shaping keep grip dependable on firmer trails, and Racing Sidewalls Black add performance to match the upscale look. The surface depressions and integrated badge round out a ski designed to be noticed.

Things to consider:

The Orea AX is a versatile all-mountain ski, not a hard-charging specialist; skiers wanting maximum power and speed will find more aggressive options. Its sweet spot is smooth, controlled skiing across mixed terrain rather than top-end intensity.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Orea AX sizes true to length. Pick your usual all-mountain size; drop a length for a more playful, maneuverable feel or step up for extra stability in open terrain.
