The 2027 Salomon S/Lab QST X is a big-mountain freeride ski built for deep snow, high speeds, and consequential terrain. With a wide platform and progressive rocker profile, it delivers exceptional float while remaining composed and predictable.
Why we like it:
It blends surfy powder performance with surprising stability when things get fast.
Who it's for:
Expert freeride skiers who spend their days hunting powder, skiing big lines, and pushing into technical terrain both inbounds and out.
Highlights:
The QST X features carbon and flax fibers to balance strength and vibration control. A wide waist and substantial rocker allow for easy planing and maneuverability in deep snow, while the core keeps the ski calm and supportive at speed.
Things to consider:
This ski favors soft snow and open terrain, and it can feel like a lot of ski on firm or tight, technical trails.
Fit & sizing considerations:
The QST X skis true to size, though aggressive skiers may choose to size up for maximum stability.
