2025 Volkl Racetiger SL R Junior Skis w/ Race Plate

The 2025 Volkl Racetiger SL R Junior Skis with Race Plate represent the pinnacle of junior slalom racing performance. Designed with a focus on agility and precision, these skis are crafted to meet the demands of young, ambitious racers who require both speed and control on the slopes. Featuring a full sidewall construction and a race-ready plate, the Racetiger SL R Junior provides an exceptional blend of power and responsiveness, ensuring that young skiers can tackle challenging courses with confidence.

Why we like it:

Kids love the Racetiger lineup for its performance, and parents love how durable they are – truly a wining combination.

Who it's for:

This ski is ideal for junior skiers who are actively competing in slalom races or advanced young skiers who are looking to take their technical skiing to the next level. It caters specifically to those who have a strong foundation in skiing and are ready to challenge themselves between the gates.

Highlights:

Volkl’s Multilayer wood core and two full sheets of Titanal provide a balance of stiffness and grip, while the ski’s full sidewall construction ensures excellent stability and durability. The slightly softer tip ensures youngsters can initiate turns quickly and a race plate enhances edge control and power transfer, contributing to a responsive and precise skiing experience that’s perfect for the rigors of slalom racing.

Things to consider:

While the Racetiger SL R Junior excels in slalom and high-performance scenarios, its advanced features are better suited to experienced young skiers rather than beginners. As a dedicated slalom race ski, the SL R is not a good choice for giant slalom racing or recreational use.

Fit & sizing considerations:

The Volkl Racetiger SL R Junior skis true to size for a slalom race ski, with a short turning radius. Generally, shorter lengths are recommended for younger or lighter skiers, while longer lengths are better suited for more advanced racers who require additional stability and speed.
